User-friendly Features
CharityMaster was designed in conjunction with actual users, so your needs and ease of use have been considered at every step.
Is there a feature of CharityMaster that doesn’t work quite the way you want? If you’re on the annual support plan, we’ll make small changes, free of charge.
Consider these features:
- Assign contacts to categories. Organizations such as counselling services can segregate their database into supporters (donors, ticket purchasers, etc.) and clients.
- Search an extensive context sensitive help system with over 250 screens of detailed instructions.
- Import names from Excel or csv files
- Restrict access: only authorized users can access your data, and only users with administrator privileges can modify system setup screens.
- Set up one-time or periodic reminders with CharityMaster’s robust reminder system. Reminders can be general (e.g. ‘schedule board meeting’) or can be attached to a specific name. Users can see all reminders or just their own.
- Quickly find records in your database by inputting the first few letters of their first or last name, the company or organization name, a phone number or an email address.
- Produce a list of directors in the format required by many outside organizations.
- Save money: CharityMaster will not let you produce labels or letters unless the address is complete. Connect people to 'households' to reduce postage and paper.
- Automatically save a record of every letter and e-mail you generate using CharityMaster.
- Add contacts to Outlook with a click of your mouse.
- Assign high potential donors to "phone captains"
- Link contacts to their friends, relatives and employers / employees.
- Set up to 25 “flags” for each name. Flags may represent the types of mailing lists a person or company wants to be on, the level of a potential donation, VIP status, etc. Select up to three flags and quickly produce a targeted mailing list.
- Apply custom filters and sort options to make browsing the names in your database more efficient.
- Track every receipt based on what the payment was for, and total the receipts by type and / or General Ledger account. Reconcile the entries made in CharityMaster with the entries in your accounting software, on a single screen. With the optional QuickBooks interface module, there will rarely be any differences.
- Add your own values or edit existing ones in over 15 different system tables.
